Due to COVID-19 the Ohio Department of Health has put out a checklist for anyone that would like to have a garage sale in the state of Ohio.  Please look at the recommendations that have been listed.

COVID-19 Garage Sales Guidelines

Important Information Regarding Garage Sales

  • A garage sale cannot last more than three (3) consecutive days or more than 72 consecutive hours
  • Signage
    • One (1) sign is permitted at the site of the garage sale
    • Two (2) off premise signs are permitted, but cannot be in the right-of-way and permission from the property owner is necessary to place a sign on private property
    • All signs must be removed within 12 hours after the closing of the garage sale
    • Signs cannot be attached to utility or street sign poles
    • Balloons, flags or streamers cannot be attached to garage sale signs
