Reporting a Pothole

The City of Pataskala encourages residents to report any potential hazardous pothole that is located on any City street. To report a pothole, please call Jessica Cumbo at 740-927-2021, email at jcumbo@ci.pataskala.oh.us or fill out a form and submit. If calling after business hours, please leave a message with the location of the pothole. The Street Department will assess the pothole and fill if deemed necessary. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we continue to strive to maintain the City’s streets.

Causes of Potholes

The City of Pataskala’s Street Department is continually filling potholes in an effort to maintain the City’s streets. Potholes can be caused by various weather conditions. Winter is usually the toughest on roads. Excessive moisture on, or under, roadways can cause water molecules to make their way into cracks and expand with freezing, thus creating problematic potholes and greater damage to roadways. Additionally, the age of the asphalt on a road can play a factor in creating potholes
