The City of Pataskala Finance Department takes great pride in the outstanding level of customer service we provide to the city’s residents, including taxpayer assistance in completing resident’s annual municipal income tax return.  As COVID-19 (coronavirus) is rapidly spreading through our state, we have decided that it is in the  best interest of the health of the public and our staff to suspend all in-person tax assistance.  Effective March 16, 2020 and until further notice, all walk-in taxpayer assistance services are being suspended.  In order to continue to service the community, we are offering drop-off municipal income tax return preparation.  Taxpayers may drop off copies of their tax documents at the Finance Department window at City Hall, 621 W. Broad Street, Suite 1D.  Our staff will then prepare the return and contact the taxpayer with the results.  We will also provide copies of the prepared return to the taxpayers for their records.

Please know however, that due to reduced overall on-site staffing levels, it may take longer than usual to complete and submit the return.  Taxpayers should keep this in mind as we get closer to the April 15 deadline.  Our staff is available by email (taxdept@ci.pataskala.oh.us) or phone (740-927-3167) during our normal business hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  In order to ensure confidentiality and security, we encourage individuals to not send confidential taxpayer information via email.  Please feel free to contact the Finance Department (finance@ci.pataskala.oh.us) if you have any questions or require assistance.
