Background, Experience & Education

Prior to his appointment, Andy served on the Pataskala Income Tax Committee.  Also, he served as President on both the 2010 and 2015 Pataskala Charter Review Commissions. Andy has served as the Interim Director of Planning and Zoning before a permanent Director was chosen. He is co-founder of the Pataskala Recreation Association, a local non-profit, which was formed in 2009 to assure that the Pataskala Community would have recreational programs during the period the City of Pataskala suspended the Pataskala Parks and Recreation Department from 2008-2019. The Pataskala Recreation Association hosted youth soccer, adult softball and rehabilitated the community pool in 2012. The Pataskala Recreation Association completed the revitalization the LEADS Park, now Volunteer Park, and dedicated it to the City of Pataskala in 2020.

 

Personal Endeavors & Skills

As a Pataskala small business owner, Professional Engineer, and licensed attorney, Andy has over 34 years of experience in the field of engineering specializing in infrastructure and revitalization, zoning and land issues, and commercial and residential development.  Over the course of his career, Andy’s projects have included Social Security and Federal buildings, large scale municipal garages, golf course communities, highway heavy and roadway improvements, span bridge overhauls, single and multi-family residential projects, municipal reclamation and revitalization projects, true build and rehab of sewage treatment plants and structures and water storage towers, design and build of community pool and recreation facilities, and wetland and stream mitigation.

Andy and his wife, Ann, have 3 children and have lived in Pataskala for over 20 years. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our unique, vibrant community. I intend to focus on attracting businesses, maintaining our rural feel, incorporating urban attributes, and improving our park programs.  I will continue to work with our local school boards and adjacent municipal entities to assure Pataskala and western Licking County remains a great place to live and raise a family. With my professional experience, I am able to successfully navigate the challenges that are before us and will strive for the result of a positive, productive Pataskala focused outcome during this very important time in our history.”
